Obituary for SOTO

Ricarte (Ric) Soto, 67, a lifetime resident of Albuquerque died Monday, November 2, 2009. He is survived by his wife, Susie; daughter, Eileen De Soto and her husband, Mike; son, Raymond Soto and Nicole; grandchildren, John Paul, Julius, James, Joshua, Marisa, Selena; one great-grandchild and one expected; brothers, Roland Soto, Oliver Soto and wife, Bea; Paul Soto and wife, Dolores; sister, Louise Padilla and husband, Robert; beloved Auntie, Crucie; and other family and friends who loved him and will miss him. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul; and his mother, Mabel. Ric was a board member or Glory Christian Fellowship Church where his desire to feed the less fortunate brought about the birth of the Glory Christian Fellowship Food Bank. He believed that if you would give the price of a cup of coffee a day, many could be nourished. He served on the Stewardship Committee of the International Christian Photographers where he motivated members to help other members in need. He served generations of families in New Mexico as a photographer and owner of Ricarte's Photography. Susie would like to thank Ric's classmates from Albuquerque High School for their loving support. A Viewing will be held at New Beginnings Church of God, 3601 Montgomery Blvd, NE on Monday, November 9, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service at 7:00 p.m. He will be laid to rest at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 7999 Wyoming Blvd NE on Tuesday, November 10, 2009, where a Graveside Gathering will take place at 10:00 a.m. Pallbearers will be Frank Ortiz, Steve Soto, Kevin Smith, Art Morales, Roberto Parra, Richard Delgado, Alfred Mares, and Herman Molina.
