Walter F. Hacker, 100, a resident of Rio Rancho since 1972, passed away on Wednesday, November 4, 2009. Walter was born November 13, 2009 the son of Walter and Frieda Garazin Hacker in Chicago, Illinois. He had been an accountant in insurance before he retired. Walter was an avid bridge player. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 52 years, Bernice Hacker; and one son, Richard Hacker. Walter is survived by his wife of 19 years, Ann Hacker; two daughters, Barbara Williams and husband Gary of Corrales, NM, and Martha Thieling and husband George of Flemington, NJ; three grandchildren, Darren Hacker, Cynthia Conrath and husband Dan, and Michael Thieling; two great grandchildren, Kirsten Conrath, and Adam Conrath; one sister, Louise Prechodko of Ocklawaha, FL. The Service for Walter will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho with Father Daniel E. Cave officiating. Entombment will follow in Vista Verde Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis Episcopal Church, 2903 19th Ave. SE, Rio Rancho, NM 87124.
