Geraldine B. Herbst, 96, passed away October 31, 2009 at her home surrounded by her family and her beloved Miss Kitty. She was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years Norman A Herbst. Geraldine is survived by her sisters Lorraine Flinchbaugh and Ruth Smith; brother Rodney Breneman all of York County, Pennsylvania. Mrs Herbst is also survived by her son Norman Herbst and wife Mary of El Paso, TX and daughter Norma Swanson of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Daniel Herbst, Stephanie Schulte and husband Mike, Melissa Kohrs and husband Louis; and also five great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren. Geraldine moved to Albuquerque from Red Lion, Pa. in 1957. She worked in accounting for Dale Bellamah Corp. and was active in making and showing arts and crafts. Mrs. Herbst was a charter and current member of St. Lukes Lutheran Church. Cremation has taken place and a private graveside memorial will be held for Norman and Geraldine at a later date.
