Rev. Richard Evan (Slim) Davidson, 89, a resident of Albuquerque since 1956, was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 52 years, Mona Louise Davidson on March 18, 2009. He is survived by children, John Davidson and wife, Jeanette of Seabeck, WA, Richard Davidson, Jr. and wife, Jody of Buena Vista, CO, Samuel Marc Davidson and wife, Linda of Placitas, NM, and Cecil Ray Davidson and wife, Lina of San Diego, CA; grandchildren, Keith Davidson and wife, Andrea, Chris Edward and wife, Francesca, Raquel, Theresa Ann, Michael Dwyer, Aaron Dwyer and wife, Ruth, Chris Allen Dwyer and wife, Anne, and Jeremy Svejcar and Rose; great-grandchildren, Dorothy, Sadee, Silas, Jacob, Evan, Glenn, Nathan, Anthony and Josiah on the way. Rev. Davidson was born on June 21, 1920 in Vivian, TX, and entered eternal fellowship with his Lord on Sunday, November 1, 2009. Davidson married Mona Louise Self on December 24, 1942, served his country in the Philippines during World War II, was a dedicated civil servant, a devoted minister of the Gospel and will continue to be missed by his family as well as friends and church members. A visitation will be Tuesday, November 3, 2009, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel. Services will be held Wednesday, November 4, 2009, 2:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel with interment to follow at Sandia Memory Gardens, 9500 San Pedro NE.
