Obituary for RIPPLE

Robert Eugene Ripple, 67, passed away in his home on October 24, 2009 after a long battle with cancer. Bob was born in Windber, PA on March 29, 1942 to parents Clarence and Dorothy Ripple. After high school he joined the army and was eventually transferred to Albuquerque, NM with his then wife June. For the next several years he and his family were stationed at various locations throughout the United States as well as Okinawa, Japan. The family eventually moved back to Albuquerque where Bob was honorably discharged from the Army. He worked for and eventually retired on his 65th birthday from Sandia National Labs as an electronics technician. He had plans to take it easy and travel around the country; however, the cancer had other plans. Many of his hobbies included gold panning, photography, and spending time on his computer. His parents precede him in death. He is survived by his daughter Leanne Jones and husband, Howland and grandsons, Sylvain and Saunder of Rio Rancho, NM; son David Ripple and wife, Jackie and granddaughters, Shelby and Katie also of Rio Rancho; sister Betty Cassler and husband, Carl of Pittsburgh, PA; sister Melinda Clay of Windber, PA; and many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. A private family memorial will be held at a future date per Bob's wishes. Family requests donations to Heartland Hospice, 4001 Indian School Rd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110.
