Obituary for MOREHOUSE

Lillian E. Morehouse, 83, a resident of Albuquerque for the past 5 years, died Saturday, October 24, 2009. She is survived by her two daughters, Marlene Frederick and Lanell Anderson and husband, Bruce all of Albuquerque; four grandchildren, Marc Frederick, Craig Anderson, Thomas Anderson, and Elizabeth Anderson; sister-in-law, Charleen Esparza; brother-in-law, Glenn Morehouse and wife, Ira; and numerous nieces and nephews and friends. Lillian was preceded in death by her husband, Marlin Morehouse; and brothers, Joseph Cresto and Pete Cresto. She was born on May 29, 1926 in Gallup, NM to Dominic and Dominica Cresto and graduated from Gallup High School, Class of 1943. After graduation she moved to Albuquerque where she attended business school. Lillian married Marlin Morehouse on July 15, 1947 and they enjoyed 57 years of marriage. She had a successful career in insurance working at several agencies in Gallup. Lillian retired in 1988 and she and Marlin enjoyed traveling, square dancing and fishing but her greatest love was her family. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Rosary will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Parish, 215 West Wilson in Gallup on Saturday, November 7, 2009, 9:30 a.m.. A Memorial Mass will follow at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Gallup. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Marianites of Annunciation Parish, 2621 Vermont NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110.
