Obituary for SHIRLEY

Harlan D. Shirley, 31, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Friday, October 23, 2009. He is survived by his sons, Daylem Shirley and Michael Kaiden Woody; siblings, Adelbert Shirley and Warren Shirley, of Albuquerque, Una Shirley, Verla Shirley, John Oxford, Starr Oxford, and Louis Sutherland, all of Great Falls, MT; six nieces and three nephews; and a large, extended family. Harlan was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert D. Shirley and Marie Rose Bacon, and brother Rolando L. Shirley. Mr. Shirley worked for many years at University of New Mexico Hospital. He was a member of the Chippewa and Navajo Tribes. Harlan loved to read classic books, outdoors, movies, traveling, and loved spending time with family and friends. A service will be held, Friday, October 30, 2009, at 11:00 a.m., at French - University Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd NE.
