Obituary for HEINSMA

Published in the Albuquerque Journal on Wednesday October 28, 2009

Sharon Leanna Heinsma was born March 10, 1943 and passed to eternal life on October 19, 2009. She was a caring sister, devoted mother, and loving grandmother. Sharon resided most of her life in Visalia, California. She raised her family in Visalia then relocated back to Albuquerque, New Mexico a few years ago to be near her grandchildren. Sharon spent most of her life taking care of others. It was not unlike Sharon to put others' needs before her own. Her sense of humor, kind heart, lively spirit, and giving soul left an impression on many. You were never a stranger to Sharon, always a friend. She had a big heart for animals. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Margie Speck; her bothers Billy Glenn Stevens and Garron Speck; and her son Christopher Heinsma. Sharon will be survived in loving memory by her son Michael Rich and his wife Carrie Rich; her daughter Caryn Wilson and her husband David Wilson; her daughter Dori Hutchings and her husband Michael Hutchings; her step son Randy Rich and step daughter Paula Rich Greenwood; her two beautiful grandchildren, Hannah and Grace Wilson; and her sister Marsha Alves and husband Johnny Alves; and her sister Gayle Johncox. Sharon will continue to be a guardian angel to all who knew her. Her loving spirit will remain in our hearts forever. Memorial services were held October 22, 2009 at Daniels in Albuquerque, NM. Many thanks to family and friends who provided condolences, love, and support during this difficult time. Appreciation to those who were not able to attend but were there in spirit.
