Obituary for BLAKE

Zola M. Blake, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 24, 2009, at the age of 88. She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur W. Blake in April of 2006 and her mother and father, Michael and Alice Zieske, of Mankato, Minnesota. She was born in Mankato on May 20, 1921. Following graduation from Gustavus Adolphus College, she married Arthur, and they moved throughout the country following Arthur's career in the U.S. Secret Service. While living in Denver and Albuquerque she taught typing, shorthand, and business math at several business colleges. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Blake, of Centennial, Colorado; her son, Fritz and his wife Melissa of Albuquerque; her grandson James Eck and his wife Juliette; and her great-grandchildren Elisabeth, James and Alasdair of Summit, New Jersey. A memorial service will be held at Monte Vista Christian Church, 3501 Campus Dr. NE, on Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. Zola's sprit will be deeply missed by those who loved her.
