Antonio (Tony) M. Rubio Sr. a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on October 20, 2009. Mr. Rubio is survived by his children, Tony Mike Rubio Jr. and Janella, Chris M. Rubio and fiance, Alice, Renee I. Romero and husband, Ray, Monica M. Bencomo and husband, Armando; the mother of his children, Roberta D. Rubio; his sisters, Henrietta Lopez and Elizabeth Avalos and husband, Michael; his borther, Larry Rubio; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; his cousin, Robert Romero; his best friend, Patrick Romero; and many other extended family and friends. Tony was known to his family and friends as "the oldest teenager in Burque," and was a proud member to the Brown Berets. Visitation will be Friday, October 23, 2009 from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by Gabriella Nieto.
