Obituary for TRYON

Ola Mae Tryon, 83, died Friday, October 9, 2009 of natural causes. Her final days were spent surrounded by family who loved her dearly. Ola Mae was born in Albuquerque on October 30, 1926, one of four children to Ula Mae and Raymond F. Durbin. She graduated St. Mary's High School, and went on to graduate Business College in Nevada. Ola Mae proudly worked at UNM, in Medical Records for 15 years before retiring. Ola Mae loved handwork and could always be found avidly quilting, crocheting and painting. She enjoyed sharing patterns with loved ones. Ola Mae was raised and remained at heart a Roman Catholic all her days. She married and is survived by her children; Theresa Mae Vickrey, Raymond Tryon, and Deborah Rae-Coffee; six grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. Her ashes will be scattered at Sunset Memorial Park in their Rose Garden and her name inscribed on the travertine monument on Friday, October 30, 2009 her birthday. There will be a memorial following the service at GreenBriar Community Center.
