Mela Apodaca. Resident of Los Ranchos de Albuquerque, NM passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on October 19, 2009. She was born December 24, 1923 to Juan and Luisa Apodaca. Mela is survived by her four children: Daughter Carmen Dominquez and partner Manual Gurule; son Claude Apodaca and wife Ledia, son Michael Apodaca and wife Diane, and son Jimmy Apodaca and wife Lucille. Mela is also survived by ten grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. Mela is also survived by her sister Fabiola Estrada and husband Gene; Brother Luis Apodaca; brother in-law Juan Chavez; sister in-law Fidelia Apodaca and sister in-law Clara Apodaca. Rosary will be recited on Thursday, October 22, 2009, 7:00 p.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Funeral service mass will be celebrated on Friday, October 23, 2009, 9:00 a.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
