Carolyn Ann Cleveland, loving wife of Tom Cleveland, passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at the age of 67. She was preceded in death by her father, Ewell Higginbotham. Carolyn is survived by her husband Tom; mother, Glenna Higginbotham; sisters, Gloria Gooch, Kathryn Higginbotham, Sue Bercovich, and Ellen Gilbert; sons, Todd and wife Dottie, Scott and wife Kathy; grandsons Jeffrey and Joel, and many other family members and friends. She was a member of the Elephant Butte American Legion Auxiliary Post 44 and the Ladies' Dart League. Carolyn loved music, dancing, and was an avid crossword puzzle fan. Sincere thanks to the doctors and staff at New Mexico Oncology-Hematology Center and all the staff at Presbyterian MSU section. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the New Mexico - El Paso chapter of the Lymphoma and Leukemia Society. A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 9, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the G.T. Evans American Legion Post 44 in Elephant Butte, NM.
