Tim Juan Chavez, 64 A resident of Tijeras, passed away on Friday, October 16, 2009. Tim was born January 5, 1945 in Tucumcari, New Mexico. He was preceded in death by his parents, Selzo and Filomena Chavez; one brother Charles Chavez; and one sister Pauline Martinez. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Helen Chavez; sons Tony Chavez and Charles Chavez; daughters Melissa Vasquez and husband Chris Vasquez, Andrea Perea and husband Raul Perea; and 15 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; Brothers Julio Chavez, Reyes Chavez, David Chavez, and James Chavez. Sisters Joyce Chavez and Judy Chavez. Rosary Services will be held Monday October 19, 2009 at the Holy Child Parrish in Tijeras New Mexico at 7:00 p.m. A funeral Mass will be held Tuesday October 20, 2009 at the San Antonito Mission Church in Sandia Park, New Mexico at 10:00 a.m. His Final resting place will be at the San Antonito Cemetery immediately following the funeral Mass. Pallbearers will be Tony Chavez, Charles Chavez, Reyes Chavez, Mark LePore, Raul Perea, and Chris Vasquez. Honory Pallbearers will be Julio Chavez, Davis Chavez, James Chavez, and Alfred Lopez. Tim was a loving husband, father and brother and very dedicated to his profession. He cared greatly for his clientele and will be greatly missed.
