Obituary for EASLEY

Gustava Easley, 98, passed away on October 14, 2009. She was born in Comanche, TX October 31, 1910. She grew up in Portales, NM and attended school there graduating from High School. She continued her education at Abilene Business College preparing to be a secretary. She resided and worked for many years in Midland, TX where she was employed as an executive secretary for Getty Oil Co. After retiring she moved back to Portales, NM to help with the care of her parents so that they could continue to live in their own home in their final years. Some years later she moved to Albuquerque and was a resident of LaVida Llena Retirement Center for 12 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, S.P. and Elizabeth Easley; a sister, Nora Beth Little of Arkansas; and a brother, Gayle Easley of CA. She is survived by brothers Dr. G. T. Easley of OK and Vernon Easley of Albuquerque; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was a longtime member of the United Methodist Church. Visitation will be Sunday, October 18, 2009, 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Memorial Service will be held Monday, October 19, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at LaVida Llena Retirement Center Chapel, 10501 Lagrima de Oro, NE, Albuquerque.
