Raymond M. Cobb, 87, passed away on October 5, 2009. He was born March 1, 1922, in Morrison, IL, to Samuel and Jessie Cobb. Ray grew up in Rock Falls, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Wilber; his sister, Eleanor Bristol; and his step-son, Gary Cleland. Ray served in WWII; The Koran Conflict; and Vietnam, having completed 150 combat missions during his career. He graduated from Bombardier School and Navigation School. Ray believed in volunteering, with over 2500 hours with the UNM Hospital Service League, and over 20 years with Score of Albuquerque. He is survived by his wife, Jayne; his children, Rayne Castle and her husband Larry, of Houston, TX, Gwen McRee and her husband Leo, of San Antonio, TX; daughter in law, Jaci Cleland, of Garland, TX; four grandchildren, Rae Jean Stinnett and her husband Blair, of Haslett, TX, Dawn Magers and her husband Troy, of Spring Branch, TX, Deane Hafling and his wife Caroline, of Houston, TX, and Jana Gurley and her husband Rob, of Bastrop, TX; and seven great grandchildren. Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 10, 2009, at 3:30 p.m., at Daniels Family Funeral Services, Wyoming Chapel. A Private Interment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery at a later date. The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to a charity of your choice.
