Robert James Rivera (Jimmy), a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Monday, October 5, 2009 at the age of 58. Jimmy was a dedicated employee of the Albuquerque Public School system. He was also a faithful member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He is preceded in death by his father, George Rivera, and brother, Danny Rivera. He is survived by his mother, Angelina Rivera; children, Richard Rivera and wife, Michelle, Tammy Crane and husband, Monte, and Luis Martin and wife, Brenda; brothers and sisters, Helen Romero and husband, Tony, George Rivera and wife, Michele, Gloria Marquez and husband, Tony, Joann Romero and husband, Eddie, Isabel Barela and husband, Joe; eleven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. A Rosary for Jimmy will be recited on Wednesday evening, October 7, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at Salazar & Sons Mortuary.
