Joanne "Joannie" Taylor, age 68, of Albuquerque, peacefully passed away on October 4, 2009. She was born in Detroit, MI. Joannie is survived and cherished by her loving husband, Charles R. Taylor II; her sister, Annette and husband Rudy. Joannie had three beautiful children that she loved more than life itself, daughters Michele and husband David, Melinda and husband Doug, and her son, Jeffrey. Also surviving are step-daughters Jeannie and husband Kurt, and Shiloh; step-sons Shawn and wife Barbara, Erin and wife Nathasja. Her 16 grandchildren were always a source of joy for Grandma Joannie. Joannie was an active member of the "Sweet Adelines" for over 25 years and a professional dental hygienist for over 40 years. Joannie and her husband Chuck loved to play golf and travel. She also enjoyed playing in two local golf leagues. She will be missed for her bright smile, loving heart, quiet charm, and devotion to family and friends. Joannie's family will be receiving friends Wednesday, October 7, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at French Mortuary Westside Chapel. A rosary will be recited Thursday, October 8, at 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary Westside Chapel, followed by a loving tribute to Joannie by the Sweet Adelines in song. A memorial service will follow.
