Allen J. Jimenez, long time resident of Santa Fe, passed away on October 1, 2009. He is survived by his daughters, Karen Honeycutt and Sandra Steckler and husband Calvin; granddaughter, Heather Ashley Lehrman and husband Dr. Craig Lehrman; grandson, Nicholas Steckler; sister Carolyn Autry, sister, Mary Lou Ballard and husband Gene, sister -in- law, Mary Roybal Jimenez; brother, Casey Jimenez and wife Mary and numerous nieces and nephews. Allen was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Isabelle Elizabeth Jimenez; his parents, Blas and Lala Jimenez, and his brother, Blas Jr. Allen proudly served his country in the United States Army. Following his military service he worked for and retired from the New Mexico State Highway Department after 37 years. After his retirement, Allen provided community service to the elderly in need. Allen was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be greatly missed.
