Michael Ray Montiel "Ray Ray", age 3, passed away on Monday, September 28, 2009. He was a loving boy and always had a smile on his face. Michael loved baseball, building blocks and playing with his brothers and sister. He will be greatly missed and will live on in our hearts. He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Bobby Montiel, Eloy Padilla, Louis Ray and Jennie Padilla Ray; and great-aunt, Patricia Otero. Michael is survived by his parents, Andrea Otero and Robert Montiel; siblings, Raul Otero 13, Alejandro Montiel 10, Mario Montiel 6 and Destiny Montiel 19 months; aunts and uncles, Jose and wife, Veronica, Manuel "Mano", Antonio, Monica and Joseph Otero, Deni Montiel and Dustin and Destiny Graham; grandparents, Leon and wife, Joan Otero, Bobby and wife, Julie Montiel and Marcy and husband, Mike Gonzales; and great-grandparents, Joe and wife, Filo Otero, Alberia Silva and Rosemary Padilla. He is also survived by many other loving relatives. All services will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Peralta, beginning with a viewing on Thursday, October 1, at 6:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A final visitation will be held on Friday, October 2, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. with a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Valencia Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jose, Mano, Antonio and Joseph Otero and Bobby and Gilbert Montiel. Honorary Pallbearers will be his brothers, Raul Otero, Alejandro and Mario Montiel.
