Bentura Gonzales, 82, went to be with our Lord on Saturday morning, September 26, 2009. He passed away from complications after suffering a severe stroke. Bentura's wife Pauline of 58 years of marriage, preceded him in death. Bentura was born May 8, 1927 and was a lifelong resident of Albuquerque. He served in the US Army in Europe during World War II. Bentura is survived by 11 children: Mary Ann Dominguez and husband Michael, Michael Gonzales and wife Theresa of Barstow CA, Charles Gonzales and wife Joann, Margaret Bailey and husband James, Danny Gonzales and wife Lori of Los Lunas, Diane Lucero, Johnny Gonzales and wife Loretta, Martha Harris and husband David, Rochelle Gonzales, Michelle Gonzales, and Roberta Gonzales; 17 grandchildren: Sabrina Dominguez, Patrick Dominguez, Matthew Gonzales of Redondo Beach CA, Rebecca Gonzales of Long Beach CA, Theresa Gonzales, Steven Gonzales, Tina Gonzales, Rachel Lucero, Chris Gonzales, Richard Gonzales, Angela Gonzales, Raymond Lucero, Janelle Olguin, Danielle Olguin, Stephanie Gonzales, Anthony Gonzales, Valerie Gonzales, Evan Gonzales; eight great grandchildren: Samuel, Serina, Ariel, Patricia, Genesis, Abbygail, Dalyce and Estevan Jr. Bentura was loved very much and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Visitation will be Thursday at 5:00 p.m. followed by a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. in the Reflection of Life Chapel (Cutler & Washington NE.) Life Celebration Mass will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Friday at 10:00 a.m. followed by the Burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
