Obituary for CRAIG

Don Newton Craig, Sr., 74, a resident of Albuquerque since 1968, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, September 15, 2009. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Catherine E. Craig of Albuquerque; children, Sylvana K. Johnson and husband, Eugene of Pittsburg, TX, Don N. Craig, Jr., and wife, Beth of Cibolo, Texas, Robert J. Kraft, Jr. and wife, Lorraine of Smithville, MO and Kimn L. Vasquez and husband, Ricardo of Anchorage, AK; eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; siblings, Paul V. Craig, Cora M. LeGrange, Genevieve Johnson and Dora L. Maniscalco; and numerous nieces and nephews. Don was born on March 13, 1935 in Rubonia, FL. After graduating from high school he entered and began his career in the United Sates Air Force. He retired after serving 20 years from Kirtland Air Force Base and made his home in Albuquerque. Following retirement he went on to work for Pat Goodwin's Office Machines and later established his own business of ten years, "Craig's Office Machines", here in Albuquerque. In his later years, Don enjoyed traveling with his wife and visiting family and friends. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. A service honoring Don will be celebrated Monday, September 21, 2009, 11:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE.
