Obituary for CHAVEZ

Maria (Della) Chavez, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, was called to heaven by our heavenly father to be reunited with her beloved husband on Thursday, September 17, 2009. Della devoted her life to her family and God, this was evident to all who knew her. Her spirit will live on through everyone she touched throughout her special life. Della is survived by her children, Robert Chavez Jr., Rudy Chavez (Diana), Carol Chavez, Steve R. Chavez (Cecilia), Rita Chavez, Anita Chavez, and Michelle Chavez; 12 grandchildren, her very special grandson Johnny Chavez who she referred to as the angel of our family; Rudy (Pinon) Chavez Jr, Debra Chavez, Gabriel Beauchamp, Louie Maldonado Jr., Dominic Maldonado, Melissa Garcia, Stephanie Romero, Jessica Chavez, Lauren Chavez, Michael Montoya, and Megan Montoya; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; three sisters and four brothers, which include her very special sister Lola Landman and her very special brother Henry Sanchez. Della was preceded in death by her husband Robert J. Chavez, her parents Rosa and Jose Sanchez, granddaughter Tracy Beauchamp, sister Bessie Sanchez, mother and father-in-law Juan and Juliana Chavez. On Monday, September 21, 2009 a viewing will be held at 6:00 p.m. followed by a rosary and celebration of life at Daniels Family Funeral Services Wyoming Chapel, 7601 Wyoming Blvd, NE. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna Rd. N.W. Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Louie Maldonado Jr., Dominic Maldonado, Michael Montoya, Carlos Romero, Cipriano Garcia, Gabriel Beauchamp, Ben Torrez and Martin Chris Romero. Honorary Pallbearers will be Rudy (Pinon) Chavez Jr., Henry Sanchez, Leroy Sanchez, Lionel Anaya, Rosina Duran and Eileen Lopez. A very special thank you to Alicia Falcon and Cynthia Candelaria for their loving care. Thank you to the staff of Heartland hospice for all of their services.
