Avis Jean (Odell) Bryson, 85, went to be with her beloved husband, David, on September 18, 2009. She is survived by her sons, Rhett and wife, Linda, David and wife, Judy and John and wife, Margo; her granddaughter, Gin Bryson; grandsons, David, Travis and Robert; and three great-grandchildren. Avis served in the US Navy during WWII and later retired from Kirtland AFB. She was active in numerous organizations including Roadrunner Waves, Alb. Women's Club, Alb. Music Club, NM Federation of Women's Club, NM Federation of Music Club, Welcome Wagon, Encore Club, NARFE Chapter 80, Sigma Alpha IOTA, and served as President of the Grand Court Residents Association. A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 25, 2009, 9:30 a.m. at French-Lomas Blvd Chapel. Interment will immediately follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
