Loretta "Jackie" Brooks passed away on the morning of September 18, 2009. She was the beloved mother of Linda Brooks Robinson and the mother-in-law of Lawrence J. Robinson, of Placitas, New Mexico; dear sister of Laura C. Christopher and Charles Jackson of Paris, Kentucky, and special aunt to her many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her devoted husband, Paul C. Brooks; and by eleven sisters and brothers, many of whom she helped rear. Earth has lost a good and kind spirit. As Jackie delighted in animals, especially her grand-kitties Xena and Leah, donations to the animal welfare organization of your choice in her memory would be meaningful and appreciated. Or consider a gift of time to a hospice program, such as Sol Amor in Albuquerque whose caring people helped Jackie spend her last days with her daughter.
