Patricia JoAnn Phelps, 76, a resident of Albuquerque since 1951, passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2009 of complications arising from cancer. She is survived by her children, Karen Andersen, Roy Phelps, Brian Phelps and Richard Phelps. She was also a proud grandmother to Lacey Phelps, Kimberly Phelps, Jay Phelps, Chrissy Phelps, Shelby Phelps, Joey Phelps, Mark Andersen, Steven Andersen and Shawna Andersen.; and a great-grandmother to six great-grandchildren, Kaylie, Cyra, David and Matthew Andersen and Marissa and Analyse Phelps. She was preceded in death by her husband, Buddy J. Phelps. Patricia retired after 30 years with the U.S Air Force Weapons Labs. Art had always been her passion and she had also been a past president of the New Mexico Pastel Society. A funeral service will be held Saturday, September 19, 2009, 3:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel.
