James Baron McCollum, passed from us on September 12, 2009. He is survived by his daughter, Tara Lynne Noonan and husband Joseph; grandchildren, Connor, Ainsley and Killian; mother, Myrene McCollum; sister, Marian Miller and husband, Jack, and Diane Bujol; brother, Tom McCollum and wife, Barbara, John McCollum and wife, Carala and Michael McCollum; numerous nephews and nieces; and many other family friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Dale McCollum; and his brother-in-law George Bujol. Jim graduated from Highland High School, New Mexico Military Institute and the Univ. of NM. He founded the Albuquerque Jewelry Co., was a founding member of the NM Apartment Owner's Association, and owned and managed the Queen's Point Manor Apartments. He was a prolific country and western dancer and was a longtime member of the NM Dance and Swing Club and the Albuquerque Sitzmarkers Club. A memorial service will be held Friday, September 18, 2009, 2:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel. Private family interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
