David James Coleman, Sr., age 59, Pastor of Ridgeview Baptist Church, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Monday, September 14, 2009 following a courageous battle with cancer. David was born March 24, 1950, in the town of Prairie Grove, AR to the late Paul James "Jamie" and Billie Joe Coleman. Upon leaving the Coast Guard, David moved the family to Albuquerque to pursue his artistic talents as a sign painter, as well as managing several rental properties. During this time David felt the call to the Ministry while serving as a song leader at his father's church, the Living Word Baptist Church. From there he went on to become the Pastor at Crestview Baptist Church. He has served for the last year as the Pastor at Ridgeview Baptist Church, which holds services on the UNM campus. In his years in the Ministry, Pastor Coleman led many souls to Christ.
