Peggy Jean Wallin, 82, of Moriarty, NM formerly of Silver City, NM passed away peacefully on Monday, September 7, 2009 at her home with her family at her side. Peggy was born on July 4, 1927 in Swartz, Louisiana to Louis and Edna (Bennett) Powell. Peggy married Gayland Wallin on January 23, 1945. She lived in Silver City, NM until the family moved to Moriarty, NM in 1982. Peggy was preceded in death by her husband. She iss survived by five sons: Nick and his wife, Debi, Dennis and his wife, Marcie, Kenneth and his wife Cherie, Don and his wife, Susan, and Scott and his wife Laura; 11 grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. There will be a memorial service at Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty, NM on Friday, September 18, 2009, 10:00 a.m. with Brother Robert Hunt officiating.
