Obituary for YAZZIE

Fern Lillian Yazzie, 59, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday September 6th at her long time home in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Fern was born on July 28th 1950 to Jimmie H. Yazzie and Madeline Martinez-Yazzie in Picuris Pueblo, New Mexico. She attended Kaune School in Santa Fe, St. Catherine's School, Ft. Wingate School, Gallup High School and New Mexico Highlands University. Our loving, caring mother is survived by her sister Mary Yazzie; son Jose Manuelito Weber; daughter Mia Alana Weber-Silva and Husband Cesar Silva; son Julio Weber and long time girlfriend Keshia Hughley; son Jimmy Weber; grandchildren Cesar Julio Silva, Mia Nicole Weber, cousins John Martinez, Andy Martinez, Joann Klinecole, Douglass Klinecole Jr., Tasheena Klinecole, nephews Francis Shije, Patrick Shije, Renee Shije; and godson David Weber. Fern was a talented artist, renown jewelry maker and devoted homemaker. In addition, she was a dedicated employee of Isleta Pueblo Casino for 15 years and cherished all the friends she made there during her tenure. A rosary for Fern will take place on September 9, 2009 4:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. at the Picuris Pueblo-Martinez/Klinecole residence. Her funeral mass will take place at the Picuris Pueblo church at 9am September 10th and she be laid to rest with her loved ones on Picuris Pueblo immediatelly following.
