Obituary for ALBERTUS-LAIL

Published in the Albuquerque Journal on Wednesday September 09, 2009

Mary Nell Albertus-Lail, 45, a resident of Albuquerque, died September 6, 2009 at UNM Hospital, where she unfortunately spent most of her time fighting for her life over the past three years. She was born May 4, 1964 in Sullivan, IN and was adopted at three weeks old by Dolores and Howard Cody. She moved to New Mexico as a young child and spent most of her life there. Mary leaves to cherish her memory: her adoring daughters Amy Albertus and Kathy Albertus; granddaughter Aubrianna Peacock; husband Jerry Lail; mother Dolores Cody; brothers Roger Cody, Robert Cody and Howard Cody, Jr.; sister-in-law Barbara Cody; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Howard Cody, Sr.; and brother George Cody. Mary will be remembered as a fun-loving woman with a heart of gold. She could put a smile on anyone's face just being herself. There is nothing she wouldn't do to help another in need. She was always supportive and encouraging to both of her daughters. She will be missed by all who knew her. Her memory will be held close and her spirit will be carried on in the hearts of all who loved her. A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 11, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery, with procession leaving French-Lomas at 8:00 a.m. Friends may visit French Thursday, September 10, 2009 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Please visit our online guestbook for Mary at RememberTheirStory.com French 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE (505) 275-3500
