Roy A., 70, a long time resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2009 after a 10 month battle with cancer. Roy is survived by his wife of 44 years, Virginia; two children David and wife Kathy, Diana and husband Rick Dawes; grandchildren Zackery, Brandon, Jacob, Taryn and Abigail; brother Edward Wright and wife Marilyn; and his faithful dog, Nugget. Roy retired as a Master Sgt. from the US Army after 22 years of service and then retired after 20 years of service with American Furniture. He was a loving devoted husband and father. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 17, 2009 at Northwest Baptist Church, 402 San Clemente Ave. NW, followed by the service at 11:00 a.m. Interment with full military honors will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
