Amado G. Armijo, 89, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on August 4, 2009 peacefully at home. Amado is survived by his grandchildren that he raised, Gina and Aaron Candelaria; children Patsy, Yolanda, Benjie, Stevie, and Felipe Candelaria; special great-granddaughter Miranda "Panda" Candelaria; other grandchildren Stephen, Tyrone, and Thalia Candelaria; also brothers and sisters Eddie Madrid, Manuel Armijo, Cristela Martinez and Sadie Armijo. Preceded in death by his wife, Jennie Armijo and parents, Lazarro Armijo and Terisita Madrid. Rosary will be recited by Silviano Candelaria on Sunday, August 9, 2009, 7 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 309 Stover Ave. SW. Final Mass will be held Monday morning at 9:30 a.m., Interment will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
