Katherine (Katie) Adams Chauvet, 55, passed away Friday, July 31, 2009, in Allen, Texas, following a courageous battle with cancer. Katie was born in El Paso, Texas, on March 3, 1954, where she attended Radford School for Girls, St. Clement's Episcopal School, and Coronado High School. She was also a graduate of Texas Christian University. She established careers in both the insurance and retail industries in her longtime home of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Katie was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Betty Adams, and one sister, Liz Adams Cox. She is survived by sisters, Barbara Hutson and her husband, Tom of Allen, Texas, and Peggy McInturff and her husband, Terry of Lubbock, Texas. She is also survived by her step-mother, Margo Adams of El Paso, Texas; step-brothers, Paul Teas and his wife Cyndy, John Teas and his wife Chris; and many nieces and nephews.
