Jean Markowitz Anagnostou went home to be with our Lord on Friday, July 31, 2009. Jean was born on Wednesday, June 13, 1956 in White Plains, NY. She moved to Albuquerque in 1979 where she met her best friend and now her husband for the past six years. Jean is survived by her husband, Spiro Anagnostou of the family home; sister, Betty Ann Dowless of Albuquerque; brother, John Markowitz and wife, Margo of New York; nieces and nephews, Kathleen, Kimberly, Katie, James and Johnny; father and mother-in-law, John and Kiki Anagnostou; sisters-in-law, Tasia and Kathy of Greece and Kalliopi of Albuquerque. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Betty Markowitz. Jean will be deeply missed and her memory will be greatly cherished. May her beautiful spirit be with us all in the sunshine she spread on this earth. A Trisagion will be held on Monday, August 3, 2009, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel. Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 4, 2009, 11:00 a.m., at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 308 High St. SE. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Park, 700 Yale Blvd. SE.
