Joseph "Joey" Burress, a loyal family member, friend, and quite a gentleman, died Thursday, July 16, 2009. He was a valued employee of the Goodwill Industries for forty-eight years. He is survived by his guardian, Vera M. Gonzales; his caregiver, Patricia Pacheco; and his sister, Lydia Hanak. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, July 22, 2009, 10:00 a.m., at the Family Worship Center, 7311 Glenrio Rd. NW. Friends may attend a prayer service Tuesday, July 21, 2009, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, where a visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Patrick Ruiz, Vincent Pacheco, Ysidro Chavira, Leonard Lucero.
