Obituary for FOSTER

Christopher Alan Foster, 54, a resident of Albuquerque since 1956, died Monday, June 29, 2009. He is survived by Alfred D. Foster, father; Elisa A. Bowyer, sister and Charles K. Bowyer, brother-in-law; and best friend in life Daniel R. Koehler and their dog Alex. He is also survived by his uncle Joe Garrett; cousins Glenn & Sonya Garrett and daughters Stephanie, Denise and Sara, cousin Mike Garrett, all from Monroe, Georgia; aunt Marge Foster and numerous cousins from Ohio; plus cousin Mary Willie Hill and family of North Carolina. Extended family includes Diane Jacobi, Susan Jacobi, Jean Thrower, Cindy Hodo, and a myriad of friends from Albuquerque. He was preceded in death by his mother Margaret Ann Garrett Foster; and her brother Thomas Garrett and his wife Lona Garrett; uncle Bill Foster, aunt Margaret Schoendorf; and extended family members Sandy and Jake Jacobi. Chris, owner of Designer Memory Products and Griptight Computer Solutions, was an avid photographer, skilled designer, website developer, movie buff, and chef extraordinaire. He loved to travel and crewed for hot air balloons. Technically savvy, Chris advised a host of friends on a multitude of gadgets. He graduated from El Dorado High School and received a BA from the University of New Mexico. Jobs included working at Sandia Labs, Intel, and the USGS. A beloved son and brother and devoted friend, he will be sorely missed.
