Marion Prescott, 89, a long time Albuquerque resident, passed away peacefully Sunday, June 28, 2009. Marion was born in the Bronx, New York on St. Patrick's Day, March 17, 1920, the daughter of Irish immigrant parents, Patrick and Nora Spillane. One of four children, Marion survived her brothers, Daniel and Timothy Spillane, and is survived by her sister, Catherine Spillane, of New York City, NY. Marion attended the Mother Cabrini College. At the close of WWII, Marion married Nicholas Prescott and moved to Milwaukee, WI. The marriage produced one son, Michael Prescott, of Houston, TX, who has survived both Nicholas and Marion. Marion and Nicholas retired in 1977 and relocated to Albuquerque, NM. They loved the Land of Enchantment. In 1979, Nicholas passed and Marion became active in the many senior activities of Albuquerque. Her many loves were folk dancing and interacting with the other seniors at the several senior centers. Marion was a resident of the Bear Canyon Independent Living Apartments for ten years. Most recently she moved to the Twin Oaks Assisted Living Residence. Marion had a zest for life and will be missed most by her closes circle of friends, especially Paul Griego and his sons, Paul Jr. and Eric. Services will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2009, 10:00 a.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery, Santa Fe, NM.
