Obituary for PADILLA

Apolo Padilla, 77, a resident of Albuquerque died Saturday, June 27, 2009. Apolo was born November 23, 1931, in La Ventana, NM, the first-born son of Atanacio and Juanita Adonelia Padilla, who predeceased him. Apolo is also preceded in death by his brothers Adonaiz and Isidro Padilla. He is survived by his daughter Ruby Chavez and husband Paul; three brothers, Frutoso, Frank and wife Teresa, and Johnny and wife Judy. He is also survived by four sisters, Priscilla Carrillo and husband Lurie, Pauline McMaster and husband Ray, Lucille and Abel Gamboa, Annabelle Carrillo and husband Luis. He is also survived by stepchildren Richard Sanchez and wife Joanne, Ronnie Sanchez, Rita Trujillo and husband Ray, and Ruth Chavez. He was affectionately known as Uncle Polo to his nieces and nephews. His other family members, friends, and many cousins will miss him dearly. A Rosary will be recited at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 9502 4th St NW, on Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at 8:00 a.m. with Mass to be celebrated following the Rosary at 9:00 a.m. A private inurnment will take place at a later date.
