Donald J. Cox, age 81 of Albuquerque, passed away Friday, June 26, 2009 at a local care facility. He was born on January 17, 1928 in La Junta, CO, to Charles B. and Hazel B. Cox. He married Norma Lee McComas in July 1952 in West Virginia. She preceded him in death on March 14, 1997, after 45 years of marriage. Mr. Cox was a veteran of the Korean conflict, serving with the United States Air Force. Following his military service, he worked and retired from Mountain Bell now known as AT&T Telephone, after many years of service. He is survived by his children, Tammye Sue Quinn and her husband, Shawn and Gerald Cox, all of Albuquerque; three granddaughters, Nikki Cox, Caitlin Cox and Ashley Quinn. He was also preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Per his request, cremation has taken place and no formal Services will be held at this time.
