James Crawford Cannon, 76, died peacefully in Albuquerque on June 1, 2009, from a recurrence of cancer. Born in Bluefield, West Virginia, he served in the Air Force as a flight engineer, and spent most of his adult life in Southern California as a radio announcer. James and his wife Barbara moved to Albuquerque in 1994, and lived in the Greenbriar Housing Cooperative from 1998 to 2005. James is survived by his wife Barbara, her daughter Christine von Briesen and son-in-law Hans, his brother Fred Cannon and wife Jackie, his niece Debbie Cannon, his nephew Jeff Cannon, and his niece Lisa Powers.
