Lt. Col. Quincy C. Shores US Air Force, Retired, 72, died unexpectedly June 02, 2009. He was born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to Q. C. and Myrtle Shores and is survived by his wife L. Carole Shores; son, Clyde W. Shores and wife Geri, daughter Elizabeth A. Wagner, step-daughters Cathy A. McCurdy and husband Donald D. II, Kelly Helvie, grandchildren, Stuart Helvie, Tyler Wagner, Catherine Shores, Matthew McCurdy, Kurtis Helvie, Emily Shores, Trevor Shores and Preston Shores; cousin, Ann Wilkerson, niece, Taylor McGowan and family as well as numerous friends. Quincy served our country in the United States Air Force before retiring in 1984. He was a very active member of Ducks Unlimited and a member of Mesa Lodge #68 AF and AM, Ballud Abyad Shrine, and many other organizations. Mr. Shores had a passion for hunting, fishing and the outdoors. He especially enjoyed being with family and friends on these occasions. A service will be held Saturday, June 6, 2009, 1:00 pm, at French, 10500 Lomas Blvd NE. Friends may visit Friday, 5-7 pm .
