Carolyn S. Sloan, age 69 of Albuquerque, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2009 at a local care facility. She was born on February 17, 1940 in Indianapolis, IN. to Benton and Ruth Harlan. Carolyn married Neal P. Sloan on March 3, 1960 in Albuquerque, he preceded her in death on May 7, 1996 after 36 years of marriage. Carolyn was a current member of Hoffmantown Church. She enjoyed being an usher at Popejoy Hall for many years. Carolyn is survived by her children, Tim Sloan and his wife, Barbara, and Janice Steinbach and her husband, Mark, all of Albuquerque; her grandchildren, Amy McConnell and husband, Mark, Melissa Sloan, Ryan and Eric Steinbach, all of Albuquerque; her brother, Ben Harlan and his wife, Mary, of Indianapolis, IN; and several nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law. She also was preceded in death by her son, Terry L. Sloan; and her sister, Emilie Kelso. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, May 27, 2009, 10:00 a.m., at The Chapel of Hoffmantown Church, 8888 Harper Dr. NE. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Friends and relatives may visit with the family Tuesday, May 26, 2009, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., at French Mortuary Wyoming Blvd. Chapel.
