Obituary for PACHECO

Libby Pacheco, 86, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, went home to be with our Lord on Thursday, May 21, 2009. She is survived by her siblings, Lily Jaramillo of Lancaster, CA, Gilly Pacheco of Albuquerque and Betty Barela of Belen; many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many special friends. Libby was preceded in death by her parents, Nicolas and Rumaldita Pacheco; siblings, Florenio Pacheco, Alice Chavez, Beatrice Lopez, and Juan Pacheco. She was born in Albuquerque on November 26, 1922 and later moved to Veguita, NM where she helped care for her mother. Libby took great pride in her service as a private secretary at Kirtland Air Force Base for over 30 years, from where she later retired. She was a dedicated member of her church, El Buen Samaritano UMC. She served as the church historian, sang in the choir and was an active member in the organization of United Methodist Women. Libby will be remembered for her profound faith, love and generosity towards her friends and family. A Graveside Service will be held in Libby's honor on Tuesday, May 26, 2009, at 10:00 a.m., at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd NE. Friends and family may visit French Mortuary, University Chapel on Monday, May 25, 2009, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Her loving spirit will be greatly missed.
