Gordon Heggem, 83, passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2009. Memorial Service was held May 18, 2009, Founders Chapel of First United Methodist Church, 422 S Church St, Grapevine, TX. Mr. Heggem was a Certified Public Accountant, having worked in Public Accounting in Albuquerque and El Paso, then with KPMG Peat Marwick as the Managing Partner in El Paso. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Grapevine and a former member and President, and Secretary of Western Hills United Methodist Church in El Paso. Gordon was an active member and served in many offices of the El Paso Rotary Club, and received the Paul Harris Fellow award. Twice he was awarded the highest volunteer honor in Girl Scouts, "The Thanks Badge". Paul Heggem, Katy; daughters, Debby Sire and husband Dave, Odenton, MD, and Ann Glover and husband Pete, Flower Mound; granddaughters, Wendy Holt, Jennifer Glover, Ashley Glover, Tammy Shugart and husband Ashley, Becca Lyn Sire; great-granddaughter Taylor Holt.
