Obituary for WOLF

Published in the Albuquerque Journal on Sunday May 17, 2009

Monica Theresia Wolf, born April 26, 1943 in Kahl am Main, Germany, passed away on May 11, 2009, after a lengthy battle with cancer. She is survived by her two children: Clinton H. Wolf and Danielle C. Wolf, her sister: Inge Montgomery, her brother: Peter Bellemann (Germany), her aunt: Rosel Heim (Germany), her nieces: Tanya Montgomery and Stephanie Womack, and her cousins: Carol Wintersberger and Ralph Wintersberger. Monica was quite talented with painting, decoupage, candle making, and calligraphy, winning ribbons for her work. She also had a knack for music, whether playing an electric organ or an accordion, and loved listening to music from the 50's and 60's. Having worked for PNM for over 17 years, she was an especially gifted strategist and organizer. She held a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and was honorably mentioned in Who's Who in American Women. Her professional works were published in several word processing and management publications, including her formalizing, editing, and revising work on the HISTORY OF PNM. She did volunteer work for the Shelter for Victims of Domestic Violence. Monica had a love for animals and volunteered with PACA and NM Animal Friends, doing cat rescue, working at adoption clinics, and building dog shelters. Monica was awarded by PNM for her volunteer efforts for local animal organizations. Since she had a love for the outdoors, Monica's celebration of life will be held at the Elena Gallegos Open Space park in the Kiwanis section, Monday, May 18, 2009 from 9-11a.m. This area is located off of Tramway between Paseo del Norte and Academy. We respectfully ask that any gifts or donations be made in her name to PACA or New Mexico Animal Friends.
