Obituary for RHODES

Evelyn "Ann" Rhodes, 93, was born to Nora and Carl Innis in Bellflower, Illinois and passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, on May 14, 2009. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, William Harold "Stato" States, George Hackley and Rex Rhodes, a son, James Harold States, a grandson, Carl Donald States, a great grandson Brett States, and a sister Deana Piper. She is survived by her daughter Jody (Donald) Vandock, her son Donald (Jane) States and daughter in law Barbara States, and two sisters, Ellen (Ted) Pedigo and Janet Davis. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Kim (Cliff) Murdock, Joan (Kent) Larson, Karen (Joe) Gieri, Greg States, Chris States, and Van (Jean) States, 12 great grandchildren and 4 great, great grandchildren. She retired from Sandia National Labs, was active in the Four Hills Lions Club, and loved to crochet. In her later years, she spent many hours making blankets for her great and great, great grandchildren and hats and booties for the NBICU at UNMH. Her family wishes to thank the staff at Stardust House and Presbyterian Hospice for the excellent care she received. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2009, 7:00 p.m., at French, Lomas Blvd. Chapel.
