Matthew Hillary McGuire (Father, Friend, Partner, Brother, Adventurer, Chef, Stonemason, Trumpeter, the list goes on...) passed away on May 9, 2009 in Albuquerque, NM. Matt was born in Syracuse, NY on December 27, 1959. He moved to Chicago in 1962, a gutsy move for a lad of three. After a visit in 1972 to a dude ranch north of town run by his aunt, the family fell in love with Santa Fe, moved from Chicago, and have been here ever since 1973. Matt is preceded in death by his mother, June Egan McGuire. He is survived by his son, James Michael McGuire; long-term partner, Linda Lee Williams; father, Frank James McGuire; stepmother, Rita Ann McGuire; sister, Kathleen McGuire McKenna; brother-in-law, Michael Anthony McKenna; brother, Joseph Brooks McGuire; and relatives and friends too long to list. He touched the lives of all who knew him, and will be deeply missed. The Wake will be held at the residence of Kathi and Michael McKenna, Santa Fe, NM at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 31, 2009.
