Phyllis Janice "Judy". In Memoriam Phyllis Janice "Judy" Garland Hart was born in Jamaica, Iowa on November 12, 1922, the second of three children born to Leo and Mabel Garland. She grew up in rural Iowa, and after attending a year of college at Iowa State University obtained her registered nursing credential from St. Joseph's Hospital in Sioux City, Iowa. There she met and married her first husband, Joseph Wiltgen, and shortly thereafter moved to Waukee, Iowa. She had three children with Joseph and led a productive life as wife and mother. After the passing of Joseph, Judy married Lew Hart in 1979, and would eventually settle in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Lew died in 1992. Judy passed away unexpectedly in Albuquerque on April 6, 2009. Judy loved her church, her bridge games, her basketball, and being Irish. She was a great mother and good friend to all who knew her. She is survived by her three children, James Wiltgen of Los Angeles, Janet Wiltgen of Culver City, California, and Jon Wiltgen of Houston, Texas, by her brother, Francis Garland of Waukee, Iowa, her sister, Charlene Ashe of Naples, Florida, and by numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial mass celebrating her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at Risen Savior Catholic Church, 7701 Wyoming Blvd, Albuquerque, N.M.
