Obituary for PALMER

Donald F. Palmer, age 74 of Albuquerque, went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 4, 2009 at his home. He was born on April 12, 1935 in Glendale, AZ to Myles and Flossie Palmer who had moved to Arizona from Arkansas-Oklahoma area to make a living at farming. Don grew up in Scottsdale, AZ. .He married Carol on March 24, 1969 in Albuquerque. Don moved to New Mexico in the mid-50's to make a living as a truck driver. He spent many years working either as a diesel mechanic or as a line driver before he retired from ABF Freight System in 2001. He was a current member of Hoffmantown Church. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Carol J.; two sons, Duane D. Palmer of Tallahassee, Fl. and Daniel B. Palmer and wife, Jammie, of Phoenix, AZ; three children from a previous marriage, Donald F. Palmer Jr. of Las Vegas, NV., Deanna Palmer and Julie Iverson both of Los Lunas, NM; several grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins; and one brother, Dennis L. Palmer and his wife, Nancy, from Mesa, AZ. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial Services will be held Tuesday, May 12, 2009, 10:00 a.m., at The Chapel of Hoffmantown Church.
